Amy McPhail

Amy - I am the senior Registered Veterinary Technician at Lake City Animal Clinic and I teach the puppy kindergarten class. I received both my undergraduate degree in Animal Science and my associate of applied science in Veterinary Technology from Purdue University in 1994 and 1995 respectively. I began my career in Indianapolis and returned to Warsaw in 2001 to be nearer to my family and have a more "small town lifestyle." I have been with Lake City Animal Clinic since my return to Warsaw.

My husband and I have a very active household with three children, four dogs (three Poodles and a Boxer), and 4 cats.

Misty Dowdle

Misty - I am the assistant office manager and have been with Lake City Animal Clinic since 1997. Some of my duties include making sure our patients receive timely reminders for their preventative health care, talking with clients to ensure we are meeting their needs and expectations and training new staff.

Our family pets include a Brussels Griffon mix, a Bull Mastiff, two domestic short-haired cats, a cockatiel, two betas and a 30 gallon aquarium of assorted other fish.

Lisa Goon

Lisa - I have been with Lake City Animal Clinic since December 1995. My position at the clinic is groomer and I feel very blessed to have that title.

My hobbies include fishing, walking, and reading. My pet family consists of a Basset Hound and two cats.

Adrienne Spangle

Adrienne - I have been with Lake City Animal Clinic since 2005. I began working with animals in 2000 when I was the pet room manager for a national pet store. When I found out that Lake City Animal Clinic was hiring, I sprang on it.

I have always wanted to work with animals and have always had a heart for animal rights, "speaking for those who have no voice." I am the primary receptionist but also do technician assistant work as needed. My goal is to further my education with animals especially in the area of nutrition.

I am known around the clinic as "the breed guru" and to the clients as the girl with the crazy colored hair. I have three squatters in my home; a Bloodhound (Gus), a Pink Toe Tarantula (Tolstoy; who is the love of my life), and a cockatiel (Lou). Things I do outside of work include sculpting, oil painting, reading Twilight for the tenth time, make-up artistry and singing.

Hannah Miller

Hannah - I have worked at Lake City Animal Clinic since April 2007. Currently I am training to assist the receptionists and the veterinary technicians.

I started in the kennels and am now primarily a technician assistant. Though I love doing the pamper sessions and playtime for the animals boarding with us.

I graduated from Warsaw Community High School in 2009 and plan to attend Purdue University. I will be majoring in animal science and studying to receive my registered veterinarian technician certification.

I have a Golden Retriever named Lily and two cats named Jersey and Santo. I love my job and cannot imagine working anywhere else.

Kay Amsden

Kay - Originally coming to Lake City Animal Clinic as a receptionist in the late summer of 2005, I tried to retire in 2008 only to return in February 2010...so much for retirement! With over a quarter of a century working professionally with animals of all shapes and sizes. I used to jokingly say that I was the one that would have to have a poodle pried from my cold, dead hands. I am beginning to think that maybe it wasn't a joke after all.

I carry national certification as an Animal Control Officer as well as an Animal Cruelty Investigator and will always speak for those who cannot speak for themselves. I love the fact that you know immediately where you stand with an animal and the unconditional love that they provides makes the difference between a good day and a better one. I strongly believe that animals are a privilege and not a necessity and to abuse that privilege is a crime.

My family and I reside in northern Kosciusko County, where we share our lives with two cats, and in my husband's case, numerous Black Angus cattle. My off time is spent reading, watching old movies and hitting the flea markets with friends. I love anything or anyone that can make me laugh, but I don't like surprises. My heart and my home will always be Michigan's Upper Peninsula, where I was born and raised.

Cheryl Bays

Cheryl - "I'm back!!"

I joined the Lake City Animal Clinic Family back in 2000. I made a lot of new friends and even found some old ones.

In 2005 I took another job that was closer to home but I missed the clinic.

In 2010 I returned. You'll hear me answer the phone or I will bring your pet to you when it's time for them to go home.

Stop in and say "Hi"

Chelsey Alger

Chelsey - I am one of the Registered Veterinary Technicians at Lake City Animal Clinic. In August 2005 I began work here as a kennel assistant. Knowing I wanted to make working with animals my career I applied for and was accepted into the Purdue University Veterinary Technician program in 2006. During my 3 years of study I would return to Lake City Animal Clinic on my school breaks to work as a technician assistant. I am very proud to say that after successful completion of both national and state board exams, I became a Registered Veterinary Technician in March 2009. I initially worked at a hospital in Rochester after graduation, but happily came back here when a position became available.

In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my husband Tanner, reading and watching movies.

Jessica Whitfield

Jessica - I joined Lake City Animal Clinic in April 2010. I split my time between the kennels and as a receptionist. I have several years experience working in veterinary clinics and am excited to be working here with such a great team. I love talking with our clients about their pets and I especially enjoy caring for those pets when they are here in the clinic.

I have earned an Associate's Degree in Equine Science and have two horses (Tuff and Aggie) that I train and show competitively. I share my house with my two cats, Chester and Q and Johnny, a painted turtle.

Chanda Kline

Chanda - I joined Lake City Animal Clinic in August 2002 with 16 years experience in veterinarian medicine. I may be found working in many different areas of the clinic helping where needed. My duties include meeting with pharmaceutical representatives to ensure we are aware of the most up-to-date products available, ordering supplies, tracking inventory, and assisting with after-hours emergencies.

Whether it is for a routine examination, emergency treatment of an injury or a serious health issue, when you bring your pet to us you may rest assured on our treating your pet like one of our own. We will provide the best medical care for your pet and the customer service you expect. My interests outside of work are photography, golf, reading, and hanging out with family and friends.

Alexandra

Alexandra - I joined the Lake City Animal Clinic team in September 2010 as part of the Co-op program at Warsaw Community High School. After graduating, I knew that I wanted to continue working here as my love for animals continued to grow stronger with each day working here. I love my job here as an Animal Care Technician and love getting to know each and every one of the pets that walk through the door. I am looking forward to learning new things and hopefully furthering my education in the field of veterinary medicine.

Since working here I have added two new family members who I love dearly: Embry is my rescued Siberian Husky and Diesel is my German Shepherd who is pictured with me.
